After graduating from Sioux Falls Lincoln High School, she attended the University of South Dakota as a student athlete and honors students. Ashley transferred to Iowa State University as a sophomore where she graduated with degrees in History, Political Science, and Education. She holds advanced degrees in Teaching and Learning, Human Development and Family Studies, and STEM Education.
Chicago was Ashley first adult home where she taught at a CPS high school on southside of the city and lived near Wrigley Field. Ashley returned to Iowa to be closer to family and met Brett while teaching at Saydel High School. They married in 2009 and knew Polk City is where they wanted to raise their family. The Delaneys live in the Twelve Oaks development and love the closeness to nature and recreation. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, music, anything outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. The Delaneys are also avid concert goers and travelers. Brett and Ashley hope to visit all 50 states and 63 national parks before their children start life on their own.
